General FAQ’s
Parking - There will be one way street parking as well as overflow parking behind the Bell Buckle Fire Hall on Main Street which is within short walking distance to the park
Food trucks will be on site all day
All amenities at the Bell Buckle Park will be open all day
Rain date is Sunday, October 2nd. If rain is forecast for entire weekend, event will go on rain or shine on Saturday, October 1st per the advertised schedule.

Scarecrow Contest FAQ’s
No cars/vehicles inside park property. Materials must be carried/carted to set up site.
All winners including Scarecrow contest, cooking contest, and jack-o-lantern contest will be announced on the amphitheater stage at 4:00pm
Set up for the Scarecrow Festival is Friday, Sept. 30th 10am to 5pm and Saturday, October 30th 8am to 12pm.
Scarecrow Festival entry is free.

There are 3 categories in Scarecrow Festival – (1) Not for profit, clubs, schools (2) Individuals (3) Businesses

Scarecrow awards are $250 to each 1st place winners and ribbons for each 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Scarecrows reflecting controversial, social, religious or political opinions or statements will not be accepted. The Bell Buckle Park reserves the right to remove any scarecrow it deems offensive or inappropriate. Each application will be reviewed for appropriateness of message, and you may be contacted if any question regarding your selected theme arises.
There is a limited number of entries; 40 total will be accepted
All entries will receive a 6’ x 6’ space.
No handouts at your contest display other than Halloween candy! Flyers and other handouts may be given out by sponsors and vendors only.
Any scarecrow not removed by Monday, Oct 17th will be discarded
One entry per category per person, family, business, or organization. Entries in multiple categories are permitted.
Scarecrow(s) for display may reflect a special theme and/or promote a not-for-profit organization, event, or business.
Scarecrow(s) must be in good taste and constructed to withstand weather.
Signage may be displayed to identify or promote your business, event, or organization. Please use weatherproof signs!
No items such as tiki torches or gas powered generators allowed, Jack-O-Lanterns are allowed with battery operated light inside.
All categories may display lights (powered by batteries only)
All entries will be assigned a location/business pairing, based on design layout created by the Bell Buckle Park Board
Set up details will be emailed by Monday Sept 26th

Pumpkin Cooking Contest FAQ’s
There are two categories: (1) Pumpkin Appetizer and (2) Pumpkin Dessert.
Present dishes no later than 12:45 to table set up at amphitheater.
Pumpkin Appetizer tasting and judging is from 1:00 to 1:30
Pumpkin Dessert tasting and judging is from 1:30 to 2:00
Recipe must have pumpkin as a main ingredient
Person must have written recipe or be able to tell it (for purposes of allergies)
There will be one (1) round of judging
Ribbons will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Jack-O-Lantern Contest
Bring your pumpkin already carved
Jack-O-Lantern cannot be political or offensive. The Bell Buckle Park reserves the right to reject any entry
