Next up to bat on Saturday is the Scarecrow Festival at the Bell Buckle Park. Enjoy a stroll around the Bell Buckle Park and view the Scarecrows on display. There are three categories: Individual, Business, and Club/Not-For-Profit, and it should be a fine competition with $250 for the top winner in each category! Judging will be done by artist Sheri Warner Hunter. Sherri is a full-time artist living in the “suburbs of Bell Buckle”. Sherri has authored two books on concrete and teaches workshops throughout the United States as well as internationally. Her large-scale public artworks are installed throughout the country. Regionally, works can be viewed at the Governor's Residence, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, the Bell Buckle Park (Ward's Lobster). Her installation at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University was selected as one of CODA Awards Top 100 art installations in 2019.

In addition to the Scarecrow competition, there will be a pumpkin cooking contest that highlights pumpkin appetizers and desserts, a Jack-o-Lantern contest, a witch cackling contest, food trucks, and live music on the amphitheater stage by the fun duet Hastings & Co., kids, and friends to all come together for some good old fashioned fun!

The Haunted Evening and the Scarecrow Festival is something the entire family can enjoy, a weekend event for our community to get out and enjoy each other’s company and for just some good ole’ fashioned family fun.
