Park Information

As of 2010 the park includes many amenities including:
  • a 1/2 mile asphalt walking trail
  • the Ward Anderson Children’s Playground
  • the Coop Picnic Pavilion with picnic tables and grills
  • a Poet's Garden honoring Maggi Vaughn, the Tennessee Poet Laureate
  • an amphitheatre completed last summer with a grassy seating area
  • landscaping installed around the entrance area, seating area leading to the playground and a rose garden at the entrance to the pavilion
  • Memorial trees have been planted throughout the whole park plus hundreds of seedlings.
  • Bell Buckle Park has applied for recognition as a Class I arboretum (at least 30 identified species)
  • a 1/2 court basketball court just built.
  • art includes two sculptures by Russ Faxon and a ceramic playground piece by Sherri Hunter
  • ADA approved restrooms and water fountain.
